Listen to Music
About
Danahyah Evans, a Brooklyn-born pianist and composer, discovered her love for music through the anime "Nodame Cantabile" at 14. She honed her skills through the New York Youth Musicians program, earning opportunities to perform at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall.
Her journey shifted towards composition when she realized the power of music in film. This led her to Berklee College of Music, where she also delved into video game scoring.
While at Berklee, she scored her first documentary, In Your Palm, followed by Salmon Parks by Canadian filmmaker Carter Kirilenko, and contributed music to several student-led video games. After graduating, she continued scoring documentaries and the Japanese drama W:FENCE.
Danahyah is now a composer at WHISTLER Inc. in Tokyo, Japan.
