Film/Video Game Composer
Listen to Music
About
Danahyah Evans, a composer from Brooklyn, New York, discovered her passion for music at the age of 14 through the anime 'Nodame Cantabile'. This led her to pursue classical piano through the New York Youth Musicians program.
As she explored different genres of film, she realized the powerful storytelling ability of music. Inspired to be part of that creative process, she applied to Berklee College of Music to study Film Scoring.
During her time at Berklee, she also discovered an interest in video game scoring, finding similarities between video games and film. Her time there led to scoring for her first documentary ‘In Your Palm’ followed by ‘Salmon Parks’ by Canadian Filmmaker Carter Kirilenko and working on 8 student-led video games.
Upon graduating, Danahyah went on to score more documentaries and contribute music to the Japanese drama “W:FENCE”.
Danahyah is now excited to announce her role as a composer for WHISTLER under Hiroaki Yura. She's preparing to move to Japan, where she'll contribute her musical touch to anime and video games.
